Real Stories Gallery is a conversation. Today HIV affects the lives of men, women and children on all continents around the world. Artists, poets, writers and storytellers from across the breadth and depth of our communities have come together to share their experiences, reflections and life-saving knowledge. Our vision is to inspire a culture of compassion and acceptance for our neighbors whose lives are affected.

We warmly welcome all our visitors to actively participate - through the telling and re-telling of everyone's stories shared with us today.  If you would like to submit a poem or image as a response to something you have seen here today, please do so by following "How To Take Part" (see below).  Names may be changed to protect identities.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to buy some of the art works within the Gallery. This will directly support individual artists and their families. The Buyer will also make a donation to directly support the Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation's highly successful Community Mobile Tutu Tester Clinics. Real Stories Gallery is a not-for-profit online project and will facilitate only a relationship between a seller and a buyer. Thank you for reaching out to each other, so everyone may benefit from this collaborative project.
